"Pretty Girls" collaborators Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea seem to be involved in a bitter Twitter feud after latter's accusations that their song was not promoted well.
Breaking her silence for the first time since Azalea went on a Twitter rant about the failure of the recent single, Spears responded with her very own cleverly worded reply. She tweeted, "Can't wait to get back to Vegas. So thankful I have shows for the rest of the year to look forward to.. #YouWantAPieceOfMe."
Spears' recent tweet has been widely interpreted as a sarcastic quip about Azalea's lack of current shows, Daily Mail reported. The Aussie rapper cancelled her upcoming "Great Escape" tour because she admittedly "had a different creative change of heart."
It was also reportedly claimed that the difficulty in landing support acts also led to the tour's cancellation, which was criticized heavily by the rapper's fans.
The "Womanizer" hit maker's tweet comes as a response to Azalea's rants on Twitter in which she indirectly blamed the 33-year-old singer for the failure of "Pretty Girls."
The rapper even got furious when a Spears' fans accused her of shading the singer, tweeting that she does not have to "suck the woman's a*****e 24/7 to be her friend." The rapper emphasized in next tweet that Spears is her good friend and she only feels that the song needed more push.
Despite Azalea's perception of "Pretty Girls" being not that successful, the song has garnered 78 mllion views on YouTube and is practically a summer anthem among music lovers this year. The song peaked at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has collected over 96,000 in total sales till now, The Daily Beast reported.
