What the Moto X 2015 will be like on release date remains largely unconfirmed but leaks and hints on the device so far appear to suggest a royal battle with the Google Nexus 2015. And the likelihood is the Motorola flagship will emerge as the winner.
According to Geek Snack, the third-generation Moto X will boast of the mighty Snapdragon 810 chip that surely will overwhelm the Snapdragon 808 processor deployed by LG with the LG G4. The latter is widely believed as the handset from which the Nexus 2015 will be built around.
It should be noted too that with a Qualcomm monster chip on board with the soon to arrive Moto X, one killer feature that users can expect is high-speed recharging of device battery, thanks to the Quick Charge 2.0 technology that is built-in with banner Qualcomm CPUs.
On unboxing, the Moto X 2015 will also reportedly come in a 128GB variant that likely will not be offered by Google with the next Nexus. It is assumed that the tech giant is encouraging the use of Google Drive hence the limit on internal memory provision, which can go a high of only 64GB.
Another lined up spec, per the same Geek Snack report, is a 5.1-inch screen profile that is not too small and not too big. The same display panel will make use of the Quad HD technology that will put the Moto X 2015 in the same level with that of the flagships manufactured by Samsung and LG.
Sealing its new image as a high-end gadget is the packing of 3GB RAM with the upcoming Moto X refresh, effectively ensuring of fast, stable and snappy mobile computing experience for would-be buyers.
But the best thing about the Moto X and its Motorola siblings is the brand's use of a strip down version of the Android operating system, which is a practice that will be sustained with the 2015 version. Motorola takes pride on the fact that its flagship offering delivers a near-Android mobile device environment and laced only with features that users actually use.
No official word yet if the Moto X 2015 on release date, which Geek Snack said will be in conjunction with the Berlin IFA trade show on September, will sport Android M out of the box but if not the device will surely absorb the Google mobile OS as soon as it becomes available.
