A video game adaptation of the award winning TV series "Breaking Bad" is rumored to be under development. The rumors started to brew when Sony recently filed a trademark application at the Office of Harmonization in the Internal Market.
According to Vine Report, the trademark application filed by Sony includes codes 9, 28 and 41. These codes usually refer to videogame titles and Sony has used this to describe PlayStation videogame titles in the past. Additionally, the same code is used for gambling and poker machines.
According to Tech Times, there is a big possibility that Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, lead stars in the "Breaking Bad" TV series, will be tapped in order to do voice acting for the rumored videogame. There are also a lot of speculations regarding the platform unto which the game will be released in case one is made.
As for the games' gameplay mechanics, "Breaking Bad" fans are divided whether it will be a Lego-type game or a GTA-type game. There are even speculations that Sony is planning to make a bunch of poker machines with "Breaking Bad" theme due to the nature of the trademark the company has filed.
Sony has yet to comment about the rumors about the "Breaking Bad" videogame.
The "Breaking Bad" TV series was aired over cable channel AMC TV Network and debuted in 2008. The series lasted for five seasons and managed to grab several awards including a Golden Globe award for Best Television Series - Drama in 2014. Actor Bryan Cranston, who played the lead role of Walter White, also won the Golden Globe Best Actor award in 2014.
Additional recognition awarded to the "Breaking Bad" series includes 16 Primetime Emmy Award and two Peabody Awards.
