"Divergent: Allegiant" co-stars Theo James and Shailene Woodley opened up about their undeniable chemistry both on and off camera. The rumored couple revealed that they admire Tris and Four's relationship and would want to experience the same passion and commitment in their own personal lives.
In an interview with Glamour, James said that he respected Woodley's character Tris in "Divergent." He said that she is unlike other female leads that seemed to be dependent of their partner. He added that her independence only brought out the best in his character, Four.
Woodley agreed with James' statement and added that she finds it sexy when couples were not "all over each other." She said that what she finds attractive in Tris and Four's relationship is that they admire and support one another while still being their own individual.
While speaking to Elle, James revealed that he had a natural chemistry with Woodley. He added that the sex scenes became much easier to do when you share a special connection with your co-actor. He shared that he was nervous when he found out that he will be playing opposite Woodley in the "Divergent" franchise.
James added that his relationship with Woodley was quite similar to that of Tris and Four. He shared that since they did not know much about each other before filming, they both did not know what to expect. He added that they were both nervous to portray characters that were so in love with each other.
The actor, however, said that when they started to become friends, filming intimate scenes started to get easier. James added that their true feelings for each other, how they cared for one another, were captured by the camera.
