Adam Sandler and Selena Gomez's "Hotel Transylvania 2" co-star Kevin James, 50, was among those who attended the surprise wedding of Billy Joel, 66, and Alexis Roderick, 33, at their yearly Fourth of July party. Held at the "Piano Man" singer's Long Island estate, the nuptials was presided over by his longtime friend New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, 57.
During the Fourth of July party, which was attended by a few of Joel and Roderick's families and friends, nobody knew that the two were about to exchange vows. Aside from "The King Of Queens" actor, Alexa Ray Joel, 29, the singer's daughter with his second wife model Christie Brinkley, also attended the suprise wedding ceremony.
Billy's spokesperson Claire Mercuri said in a statement released to People that the couple "surprised guests at their annual July 4th party by exchanging vows in front of their family and close friends."
In April, a source told the publication that Billy is "thrilled to become a dad again." Before Roderick, he married Elizabeth Weber Small on Sept. 5, 1973 but they divorced on July 20, 1982. He then married Alexa Ray's mother on March 23, 1985 but they divorced on Aug. 25, 1994. He married Katie Lee on Oct. 2, 2004 but they both confirmed that they had split on June 17, 2009.
Aside from being an accomplished equestrian, Roderick used to be a Morgan Stanley executive. She and Billy have been together since 2009. They are expecting their first child, a girl.
Currently, Billy is on tour, with his next sold-out stop on July 16 at Fenway Park in Boston. With his 65th show at Madison Square Garden on July 1, the music legend set a record for most performances by a single artist beating Elton John. according to Gulf News.
