The iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus release date is rumored to happen in September. A Chinese blog has already revealed the launch date as well as the release date for both the iPhones.
The iPhone 6S will be announced on Sept. 11 and will be available in stores on the 18th, Cult of Mac reported citing a Chinese blog MICGadget.com.
The blog claims to have received the information from an insider that works at Foxconn, the official OEM of Apple. However, it is unlikely that Apple will choose the said date for the launch of the new iPhones as it is one of the darkest days in the history of the United States.
Last year, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus were announced on Sept. 9 and both handsets were released on Sept. 19. The iPhone 5S was released on Sept. 20, 2013.
Nevertheless, Apple has been releasing its iPhones on one of the Fridays in the month of September. If the successor models for last year's iPhone 6 models are to release on Sept. 18, the Cupertino-based company will most likely to hold the launch event on Sept. 8, Phone Arena reported.
Rumors claim that the iPhone 6S will be available in a new color option of pink or rose gold color colored metal apart from the usual options like gray, silver and gold. Speculations are also rife that it will come with highly durable and thicker metal chassis, Force Touch, 12 MP, faster Category 6 LTE chip and larger battery.
