"Ugly Betty" actress Vanessa Williams, 52, is now married for the third time after tying the knots with Jim Skrip, 52, on July 4. The wedding was held in a private ceremony attended by friends and family.
According to People magazine, Williams had announced her engagement to her then long-time boyfriend, Skrip in September 2014 during the recording of "The Queen Latifah Show" after Queen Latifah quipped at the fact that she is being blinded by the flashy ring that she was sporting on her finger.
"I just got engaged a couple of weeks ago. It has been a lot of blessings," said Williams on the show.
The two met in 2013 in Egypt, according to Us Weekly. She said that one travels the entire world to discover somebody who is just six hours away. They reportedly met on a Nile Cruise where Williams asked Skitp if he was from Buffalo looking at his Buffalo Sabres shirt as her mother is from Buffalo, too, and they hit it off instantly.
Meanwhile, the actress posted a picture on Facebook flaunting the exquisite wedding gown designed by Carmen Marc Valvo. This was one of the two gowns that were designed specifically for the big day.
Williams has four children from previous marriages. Melanie, 28, and Jillian, 26, are her two daughters and Devin, 22 her son from former husband Ramon Harvey with whom she was married for 10 years. The couple split in 1997. She also has a 15-year-old daughter named Shasha from her ex-husband Rick Fox with whom she shared six years of her life before she divorced him in 2005.
