The Galaxy Note 5 on release date will be more like an upsized version of the Galaxy S6 that Samsung has issued earlier this 2015. And the screen profile will largely mirror that of the Galaxy Note 4.
The next-gen phablet was recently rendered in CAD drawings that 9to5Mac picked out from French blog NowhereElse.fr and it was readily noticeable that the device will take a page from the first Samsung 2015 flagship. The creation is all about the Galaxy S6 design though in supersized rendering, the report said.
That would mean that the upcoming device casing is a mixture of glass and metal, which the materials used by Samsung with the S6, marking its dropping of plastic that was used in the earlier high-end Galaxy phones.
The report indicated too that the device screen profile will remain 5.7-inch, which is contrary to earlier suggestions that the Note 5 front panel could stretch up to 5.9-inch diagonally.
In a separate report, BGR noted that while the device will make use of the USB Type-C port it is likely not that reversible kind, which offers the convenience of plugging the device into a connecting wire at any orientation.
However, the benefits packed with the USB Type-C technology will remain available to would-be Note 5 buyers. Chief of them are superfast data transfer, quick charging and the ability to hook up with peripherals on HDMI and VGA standards.
The NowhereElse render also reflected the rumored specs attributed so far with the Galaxy Note 5, headlined by a Super AMOLED panel in 2K resolution. It should be noted too that while device is inspired by the Galaxy S6, Samsung will still deploy its signature S-Pen as shown by the stylus holder in the CAD drawing.
The Galaxy Note 5 unveiling, in line with Samsung's tradition, is expected to coincide with the 2015 IFA trade show in Berlin, set to kick off in the first day of September. The actual release date should follow late in the month or early October.
