"The Flash" season 2 will see Firestorm's new superpowers and Joe Morton's newest professional partner Patty Spivot.
According to Vine Report, there was a video posted on Vimeo that teased Joe and Patty's upcoming partnership. The publication also revealed that Patty is a blood forensic analyst who will be working with Joe and who will also become Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) new love interest.
Although the CW has not confirmed the said love team, fans are already speculating that Patty also uses the pseudonym Wendy or vice versa. In the past, the network already confirmed that Barry or The Flash will be attracted to a new character named Wendy and fans cannot wait and see how their storylines will unfold.
This has led fans of Barry and Iris to worry about the future of their relationship. There are rumors that the childhood friends will not be as involved in each other's life in season 2. However, this does not mean they will no longer have their usual sweet moments.
Meanwhile, Den of Geek revealed that Firestorm will have a lot of scenes in the upcoming installment. To add to this, the character will also have a new set of superpowers. However, it is unclear what superpowers in particular he will possess.
Robbie Amell, the actor who plays the role of Firestorm also seconded the report when he said during a previous interview that indeed, his character will be given more focus in season 2.
"The Flash" season 2 premieres on the CW in the fall.
