The 21-year-old daughter of the "The Today" TV show co-host Kathie Lee Gifford and the NFL star Frank Gifford, Cassidy Gifford is all set to make her debut in the upcoming horror flick "The Gallows". She is the younger of two siblings, who has an elder brother Cody Gifford.
According to an interview with USA Today, Gifford said that though acting is her lifelong zeal in real, her character in the movie is disinterested in the same.
In the movie, she is playing the role of a schoolgirl with the same name, Cassidy. The girl hails from Nebraska where her schoolmates are planning to stage a play that tells a story of a young boy who meets an accident. However, the twist comes along when she and her classmates find themselves locked in, prior to the opening night of the play with what looks like a hostile ghost.
Talking about her "not so nice" character in the movie, Gifford told Entertainment Weekly, "You can say mean-you don't have to tiptoe around it."
According to Gifford, the most difficult part in acting was to emotionally prepare herself for the close shot where she is crying looking at the camera while she was being pulled off by a noose down the corridor. She further said that she prepared herself for the scenes by being solitary for a few hours, drink plenty of water, and listen to her saved playlist which became her routine.
When her mom saw the clip, even though she was excited and proud of her daughter, she seemed to be a bit shaken, and commented that she would rather prefer a romantic comedy as her next project.
