Meg Ryan is in the news for her completely altered appearance. When the "Sleepless In Seattle" actress walked the red carpet in Paris on July 7 and fans and onlookers reportedly almost failed to recognize the popular star, owing to her mysteriously altered looks.
The 53-year-old actress was seen at Georges Chakra Paris Fashion Week presentation, marking her first public appearance in 14 months. The actress flaunted an off-shoulder creation, made up of sheer black lace, along with a pair of heeled leather sandals, which gave the ensemble a nice edge, Daily Mail reported.
But it was not Ryan's attire which drew attention, but her face, which looked remarkably different. The actress was seen with an incredibly taut face, remarkably different shaped nose and a strained appearance around her eyes, which was quite a lot different from the once bubbly face of several 1990s hit rom-coms.
Witnessing the drastic change in appearance, several media outlets were quick to point out that the actress has undoubtedly gone under the knife. Miles Berry, a leading cosmetic surgeon, told Express that it appears that the actress has undergone multiple cosmetic procedures, which have completely altered her natural beauty.
"Speaking of natural, the lips have been divested of the obvious excess filler and distortion that remind us how attractive she is au naturel," further said the surgeon, adding that she has also allegedly undergone a chemical peel procedure for skin and upper blepharoplasty for lifting eyelids. However, the surgeon added that less stressful lifestyle must have also contributed to the glow in her skin.
The actress, who rose to popularity with her debut flick "When Harry Met Sally," was last seen in 2008's "The Women," in which she portrayed the role of a wealthy woman, whose husband is cheating on her with a shop girl, played by Eva Mendes. Ryan is currently rumored to be in on-and-off relationship with musician John Mellencamp and has a daughter, whom she adopted in 2006 from China.
