Fresh rumors suggest that Microsoft may be working on a camera-centric smartphone that will feature an LED flash for the front-facing camera. Rumors suggest that the said device would be a successor model for the Lumia 730/735 that was released in the previous year.

Evan Blass, who holds a good reputation for releasing interesting rumors on forthcoming product, has revealed through a tweet that reads "Has there yet been a Windows Phone with a front-facing flash?" Since it is a tease from the famous leakster, there is no information available on the details of the purported device.

In the recent past, there has been a huge demand for selfie-centric smartphones. Many Chinese smartphones are entering western markets with 8 MP front-facing cameras with support for wide-angle shooting. Even major smartphone brands are now offering high-end smarpthones with 5 MP and higher front-facing cameras, Win Beta reported.

Sony Xperia C4 comes with 5 MP Exmor R lens for its front-facing shooter. it is enabled with LED flash. Its predecessor model, the Xperia C3 also came with flash for the front-facing camera. In the previous month, Samsung had officially announced the Galaxy J5 and the Galaxy J7 smartphones that come with front-facing LED flash for their respective 5 MP selfie cameras, Sam Mobile reported.
