Samsung Galaxy Note 5 release date will happen in mid-August instead of September this year. It is a strategic move by Samsung to release its phablet earlier so that its arrival is not affected by the iPhone 6S release date in September.
Since 2011, Samsung has launched its Galaxy Note series handsets such as the Note 4, the Note 3 and in September every year through the IFA trade event. However, in this year, the South Korean tech giant will release the Note 5 in mid-August so that it gets enough time to gain good popularity before the next generation iPhones arrive, Wall Street Journal reported.
In the previous month, Samsung Galaxy Alpha was released in August. At that time, its sales were not disturbed by any major smartphone. This allowed the Galaxy Alpha to good response from the audience. In this year, Samsung is expected to the same release strategy for the Galaxy Note 5.
It is interesting to note that Apple has approached its suppliers to produce 85 million to 90 million iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus handsets sporting 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches display, respectively. Both the iPhone 6S models are expected to get announced in the middle of the September and finally release by the end of the month, Telegraph reported.
According to the rumor mill, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will house a huge display of 5.67 inches with support for Quad HD resolution. Like the Galaxy S6, the Note 5 is expected to come with glass and metal combination chassis. It will be powered by Exynos 7422 chipset and it will be equipped by a massive battery of 4,100 mAh.
