With David Ayer's villainous film "Suicide Squad" coming to theaters next year, it has been reported that Harley Quinn, who is played by "Wolf of Wall Street" actress Margot Robbie is going to be the star of the upcoming movie.
Robbie's wicked character Quinn got the people's eyes when Ayer released his Suicide Squad paparazzi footage at the San Diego Comic-Con, according to Cinema Blend.
In the footage, the villain was seen trailing through the streets with her iconic baseball bat weapon as her make-believe shotgun. Robbie was reported to have a perfect accent for her character, suggesting a promising chaos. The said footage has yet to be released online.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the "Suicide Squad" cast members were introduced in the Comic-Con Hall H, along with shots of Robbie as Quinn in a distinct prison cage. There was also a photo of Will Smith as Deadshot, leading the group through scorching wreckage. A photo of Jared Leto as Joker was also shown hurting an unfortunate soul.
Just like Zack Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," Ayer's "Suicide Squad" is set to have a dark tone. With Snyder's film laying the foundation on the rise of the Justice League, Ayer's film has a tagline that says "Justice has a bad side."
Aside from Robbie, Smith, and Leto, "Suicide Squad" stars Adam beach, Jai Courtney, Karen Fukuhara, Cara Delevingne, Joel Kinnaman, Adawale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jay Hernandez, Viola Davis, Common, and Scott Eastwood, among others.
Ayer's "Suicide Squad" is slated to hit the big screen on Aug. 5, 2016. Watch the cast introduction at the Comic-Con here:
