The much awaited flagship device Sony Xperia Z5 release will more likely happen at the IFA 2015, to be held in September.
Sony is expected to take the wraps of Xperia Z5 at the company's IFA conference scheduled on Sept. 3, and will be available on the stores by the second of the month, PC Advisor reported.
The upcoming smartphone is speculated to have many improvements over its predecessor and feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor to be coupled with 4GB RAM, to address the overheating issues in Xperia Z3. Xperia Z5 will allegedly feature a 21-megapixel Sony Exmor RS IMX230 CMOS sensor, capable of capturing videos in 4K resolution.
The flagship smartphone will come with a Quad HD resolution (1440x2560) and feature Qualcomm's Ultrasonic Sense ID fingerprint scanner, as it is expected to be powered by Android M operating system, the first Android with native support for fingerprint scanners.
In terms of design, the upcoming models are said to have a major makeover with inspirations from Sony's BRAVIA television sets with clean front end and a frosted glass effect. The other purported Xperia Z5 specs include a USB Type C connector, waterproof, along with a huge 4500mAh battery that extends the battery life to a great extent in comparison to its predecessors.
Besides the Sony Xperia Z5, a mini version of Z5 – Xperia Z5 compact will also reportedly be released at the IFA. The Ultra model will also more likely return with the new Z5 device, making it three different Z5 variants to be unveiled at the IFA 2015, according to Vine Report.
However, there is no official word from Sony as of now, about its upcoming flagship device. The company is expected to reveal more details before the Xperia Z5 launch in September.
