Another much awaited match up has been added to the already packed line up of fights at WWE Battleground 2015. WWE.com has announced that Randy Orton will go head-to-head with Sheamus.
The Celtic Warrior and The Viper have had a string of heated face offs in the ring, and their match on July 19 may be the biggest and baddest of them all.
Orton and Sheamus started their feud during the WWE Money in the Bank Ladder match. Both wanting to bag the contract and seal a title match opportunity for the WWE World Heavyweight, the fighters took turns trying to grab the suitcase atop the ladder. Sheamus won the match, but not after a couple of bangs and bruises.
Their feud continued on Monday Night Raw where Mr Money in the Bank "viciously attacked The Apex Predator during his match with Kane," WWE reported. The attack left Orton injured and out for several weeks before returning to the ring to beat Sheamus with his signature RKO.
This weekend they will be returning for yet another fight to finally decide who is the better fighter.
"After weeks of brutal exchanges, both competitors will get the opportunity to test their might against one another at Battleground. Will Sheamus overthrow Orton as he continues to seek out the perfect moment to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase. Or will The Viper, a former Money in the Bank winner himself, put the exclamation point on his return by stopping Sheamus head-on?" WWE described of the match.
Randy Orton vs Sheamus will be joining the list of WWE Battleground 2015 fights that include Brock Lesnar vs Seth Rollins and John Cena vs Kevin Owens.
The pay-per-view event will air on Sunday, July 19, 8/7 central on WWE Network.
