What will make the Google Nexus 2015 on release date a certifiable winner? Three things - the Android M operating system, the latest Snapdragon chip and a very affordable sticker price, a new report said.

Rumors are aplenty about the device that will bump off the Motorola Nexus 6 later this year but as noted by Geek Snack, nothing is written in stone. Google is silent on the subject even as swirling speculations indicate that the company will issue two flagship smartphones this 2015.

LG is said to resume its partnership with Google for a 5.2-inch device that is known for now as the Nexus Bullhead. Then Huawei from China was also reported to be part of the project, likely taking charge of the phablet-size model that is codenamed Nexus Angler.

These details definitely excite but as mentioned there is not a single word coming from Google to give weight to all the murmurings. At best, the killer specs and power features being attributed to the Nexus 2015 will end up as wishlist since the devices' supposed maker has elected to remain silent on the whole affair.

Thankfully, there are minimum expectations on the next Nexus and the same Geek Snack report outlined the three main features that will make the device simply irresistible:

Android M

The Nexus brand is beloved because it is pure Android, no bloat and no skin to overshadow the raw power and beauty that the device is. For 2015, Google will power its signature phone (or phones) with the Lollipop sequel that is tentatively known as Android M.

There are reports that say the mobile OS is but an incremental jump from Android 5 and on its official rollout it will be known as Android 5.2. Regardless, the software is thought to deliver fresh functionalities such as native support for fingerprint scanner and a few notable user interface changes.

Yet the main attraction of the Nexus 2015 is the promise, which remains unbroken to date, that it is all about pure Android experience and one benefit of which is the assurance of on-time delivery of software patch and updates.

Powerful chip

The Nexus model gives emphasis on the concept power, which translates to mighty processing capabilities. The same will stay true for the 2015 build as a new report indicates that the device could easily overwhelm current and upcoming Android flagships, specifically the Samsung Galaxy S6.

According to WCCF Tech, the Nexus 5 2015 got a score of 85,000 on AnTuTu benchmark testing, which is the highest recorded so far. The numbers signify that the next Nexus will have a powerful chip as main engine, likely the Snapdragon 820, the report added.

Affordability

Perhaps, the biggest selling point of the Nexus line of products is accessibility or more appropriately, affordable price tag. The Nexus 6 was supersized and souped up but failed to take off like the Nexus 5 did and experts blamed the sticker price that went past the $700 mark for the top-tier model.

That price tag was twice the asking price of the Nexus 5 so the 2014 version lagged behind the popularity level that was gained by its predecessor. Now to win back the Nexus faithful, Google is likely to set a sweeter spot for the Nexus 2015 price point, much lower than what was seen with the Nexus 6 and a tad bump from that of the Nexus 5.

And the confirmation for these should come at the Google Nexus 2015 release date, which reportedly is set simultaneously with the Android M rollout, likely in late September.
