"John C Reilly announced at the interview today that he has signed on for Wreck it Ralph 2!" Hart tweeted.

The popular veteran actor who made a mark in his performances in movies like "Talladega Nights" and "Magnolia" was in Ireland as the Galway Film Fleadh's guest of honor, reports Entertainment.ie.

The original Disney film which revolved around the story of a videogame antagonist who struggled to change the way he's programmed became a surprise hit to many. It was able to keep up with other successful animation projects like the "Toy Story." It even received Academy Awards and Golden Globes nominations for Best Animated Feature.

Even before the 2012 animation turned out as a hit in the box office charts with a total gross achievement of $470 million, its director Rich Moore was already eyeing a possible sequel, states ComicBook.com. He visualized the second movie to explore around more modern gaming scenes like the high tech consoles and online games.

A year after the original movie's release, Moore also shared with the Huffington Post how he treasured the experience of not just working with an amazing story but also with a great working staff and cast. This is what drives him to want to visit the world of the animated story again through a "Wreck-it Ralph 2" movie.

Aside from Reilly, other voice actors included in the original cast were Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, and Jane Lynch among others.

No other details about the "Wreck-it Ralph 2" sequel were divulged just yet.
