Sony recently detailed some new information and features for what fans can expect of the "Uncharted 4" the Nathan Drake Collection. While it already includes the three previous "Uncharted" games with enhanced graphics and visuals, it appears that developer Naughty Dog has bigger plans for the collection.
Speaking in the PlayStation Blogcast, SCEA's Scott Rohde revealed that more surprises are coming to the collection, Dual Shockers reported. Without revealing any more specific details, Rohde confirmed that they will hold another blogcast where they can discuss the inclusions of the collection. Despite the lack of a timeline, he did say that this will happen "in the very, very near future."
In the same blogcast, Rohde answered one query that a lot of fans have been asking since the Nathan Drake Collection had been revealed. The enhanced graphics means that it will run at 1080p and 60FPS, clarifying fans' previous doubt that it may only run at 30FPS. The photo mode, seen in some PS4 exclusives including "inFamous: Second Son" and "Driveclub," has also been teased for "Uncharted 4" The Nathan Drake Collection.
"Uncharted 4" is expected to push the boundaries not only of what long-time fans have expected of the franchise. Previously, Naughty Dog has stated that the game will make use of the PS4 hardware as much as it can.
This has been showcased time and again, the latest of which was the demonstration that showed off vehicle control during gameplay. In the same demo, fans have seen the amount of detail that went into development, making the entire jeep chase scene seem like a very long cutscene-an allusion to the level of visuals and graphics seen in the sample gameplay.
Beyond the graphics, "Uncharted 4" voice actors Nolan North and Troy Baker, who play the roles of Drake and his older brother respectively, have also shared their thoughts on finally working together in a big name title from Naughty Dog. North shared that "Uncharted 4" was the best time for them to get together in a title, Games Radar reported.
More than the professional working experience, North said that the overall journey of creating the scenes in the game had been a comfortable ride. They had already worked in previous titles like "Shadow of Mordor" and "Saints Row IV," so the dynamics between the two prolific voice actors are already down pat.
"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," which is slated for next spring 2016.
