Aside from Len Wiseman's action-thriller film "Underworld," Sheen is also known for his roles in Ridley Scott's action-adventure film "Kingdom of Heaven," Ron Howard's drama film "Frost/Nixon," and Woody Allen's romance-comedy film "Midnight in Paris."

Sheen will also be seen in Joseph Cedar's drama-thriller film "Oppenheimer Strategies" and in Matt Piedmont and Andre Steele's comedy TV series "The Spoils Before Dying." He will also be part of the voice cast, giving life to the White Rabbit, in James Bobin's "Alice Through the Looking Glass," which will premiere next year.

At present, Sheen plays the role of Dr. William Masters in Michelle Ashford's television drama series "Masters of Sex."

According to Cinema Blend, Keanu Reeves was initially tapped to play Pratt's role while Reese Witherspoon and Rachel McAdams were to portray Lawrence's character in different time periods. Pratt and Lawrence have agreed to do the film with Sony Pictures after some financial discussion. The "Guardians of the Galaxy" actor gets $12 million while "The Hunger Games" star will be paid $20 million.

Meanwhile, "Doctor Strange" writer Jon Spaihts is on board to pen the screen play while Stephen Hamel, Michael Maher, Ori Marmur, Neal Moritz, and Lynwood Spinks will produce the upcoming film.

While Tyldum's "Passengers" release date has yet to be announced, the film is slated to premiere in theaters in United States in 2016.
