The lawsuit filed against "Dance Moms" star Abby Lee Miller by former student Paige Hyland has been dismissed. The ALDC coach has won another battle in the courtroom when the Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled in her favor.

According to People, the judge dismissed the lawsuit after reviewing the footage submitted by Hyland. Miller's former student said that she has been insulted and abused in the show. To support her claim, Hyland cited one episode in "Dance Moms" wherein the coach out of frustration threw a chair in her direction.

The 14-year-old dancer claimed that she suffered from anxiety and experienced panic attacks after appearing on the Lifetime series. She said that she has always feared that Miller will hurt her given her history of violent outbursts. After appearing in four seasons of "Dance Moms," Hyland held that she has been attending treatment to cope up with Miller's mental abuse.

Hyland claimed that the producers tolerated Miller's abusive behavior because it only made the show even more entertaining. The reality star said that the network only cared about the ratings of the series.

After watching footages of the show, the judge however claimed that Hyland could not have developed "legitimate fear" from that incident alone.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hyland's mother Kelly has previously sued Miller, saying that they were mistreated on the show. The "Dance Moms" star added that her daughter experienced emotional distress under Miller's tutelage. She added that they have not received compensation for some of the episodes in season 4. The same judge dismissed Miller's claims and ruled that there was no basis for her claims.
