Case-maker images of Samsung Galaxy S6 Plus alongside its claimed attributes surfaced on the web on July 21, Monday, ahead of any official announcement from Samsung.
S6 Plus will feature the details of S6 Edge and a 5'7-inch super AMOLED display (1600x2560 ppi), making it bigger and more exciting than the brand's current flagship, Slashgear leaked.
The two "S6" will share specs like 16 MP rear cam with back sensors and tap to pic for easy capture, 5 MP front cam with 120-degree wide angle shot for wider selfie coverage, 32/64/128 internal memory, 3 GB RAM for fast app loading, and Edge screen for additional Edge features like Edge interaction.
It is assumed that S6 Plus will carry other S6 Edge advancements such as Gorilla Glass front-and-back for scratch resistance, F 1.9 camera aperture for clear shots day-and-night, fast charging, and wireless charging.
Other S6 Edge attributes include palm selfie, voice selfie, high-quality photo studio, finger print scanner, and heart-rate monitor. Geeks can also enjoy the smartphone's innovations such as screen mirroring, Wi-fi MIMO, security technology, and smart manager.
S6 Plus, likely available on Aug. 12, will either sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor or a Samsung Exynos 7422. The OS is probably Android Lollipop 5.1.1 and will be compatible with the Android M update.
To recall, Samsung Galaxy s6 Edge was first released on April 10 and remains to be the brand's flagship. S6 is praised for its brilliant design, fast processor, and advance camera features.
Meanwhile, Samsung leaks seem to be a common recently. Last June 30, the Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center (TENAA) in China uploaded a hands-on video of the purported Samsung Galaxy A8 on the French website NoWhereElse. The Galaxy A8 is expected to be the slimmest Samsung Smarthpone at 5.9mm. Samsung has yet to officially confirmed the A series follow-up.
