Apple Inc. reportedly created the new iPad mini 4 as a mini version of iPad Air 2. It is said that the company planned to reduce the retail price of its new iPads to recover its low sale compare to tablets having had decreased 28.4 percent on the previous year's sale.
According to Master Herald, an industry's reputable analysts Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities said that the iPad mini 4 is rumored to have a lighter and thinner chassis that makes it a mini version of the iPad Air 2. It also features an upgraded processor.
The newest iPad mini handset is expected to have a longer battery life, better sound quality, and larger storage than the third generation.
Reports said that the new iPad cost lower than the iPad mini 3 which was released in 2014. The retail price will be around $463 while iPad mini 3 cost around $494 during its first release.The price of iPad mini 3 is expected to drop to around $387 upon release of the new iPad mini 4. There is no confirmation if the price is for limited time only or will be permanent.
iPad mini 4 is the thinnest tablet in the market. It has a 7.9-inch screen and will use iOS 9. Other features Touch ID system and Apply Pay, IBTimes reported.
Previous reports said that Apple had recovered the original iPad mini from stores and its websites. The iPad mini 2 received negative reviews from critics against the upgrade of iPad Air.
There is no official release date yet from Apple regarding Apple iPad mini 4, but it was confirmed that Apple will launch the latest iPad Pro in October.
