The official release date of "Finding Dory" will be moved to a later date. This report came just after it was revealed that the character Nemo may not make it into the film
Fans of "Nemo" have been speculating on why "Finding Dory" was moved to a later date. According to them, this might have something to do with the fact that a lot of animated films will be released this year and in 2016. As such, competition might be fierce and the creators of "Finding Dory" are worried the film may not live up to audiences' high expectations.
Meanwhile, "Finding Dory" has been confirmed to feature "Nemo" cast members Dory, Flo, Marlin and Gill. However, it came as a surprise to everyone when Nemo's name was not mentioned. As of late, it is still unclear why Nemo has been booted out of the franchise.
In other news, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has always been vocal about her desire to see a film that is centered on Dory for the big screen. On her show "The Ellen Show," DeGeneres has been showing some clips featuring Dory. The talk show host was also the responsible for giving life to the said character.
During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, DeGeneres also told fans that they do not have to wait very long before they can see her character in cinemas across the globe.
"Finding Dory" will also star Albert Brooks as Martin, Diane Keaton as Jenny, Eugene Levy as Charlie, Willem Dafoe as Gill, Ty Burrell as Bailey and more. New cast members whose roles have not yet been confirmed include Idris Elba and Dominic West, according to Variety.
"Finding Dory" is pegged for release in theaters in the United States sometime next year.
