iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus release may happen sooner than later as new iPhone 6 discounts up to $200 in Best Buy Cyber Monday in July.
US electronics retailer Best Buy countered Amazon's Prime Day with 2-day Black Friday sale and Cyber Monday in July. While most people made fun of Amazon's sale, Best Buy included prime products on sale such as the iPhone 6 smartphone.
Best Buy offers the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus under US carrier Sprint for $200, while the handsets under Verizon received $100 discount.
Meanwhile Sprint also offer a big discount on iPhone 5S and sells it for $1 bundled with $50 gift card.
Apart from iPhone 6, the promo of the retailer offers the first generation of iPad Air for $100 off and 13.3-inch Core i5 MacBook Pro sells for $200 less.
The Wall Street Journal reported that the next generation of iPhone will be unveiled later this year. The report added that the smartphone will pack Force Touch feature that will detect pressure and will open a myriad of possibilities for the smartphone. Moreover, the new iPhone will be available in more color options aside from the current silver, gold and space gray variants. Apple is reportedly mulling over the idea of a pink iPhone to appeal to female users.
Some of the purported features of the iPhone 6S are A9 processor, 4 GB of RAM, iOS 9 with software features such as Car Play, Apple Watch, HealthKit, and Apple Pay as well as improved Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
However, Apple has not confirmed the rumors yet.
