Apple fans in the United States can get the iPhone 6S on release date free of charge if they are willing to buy the iPhone 6 now. T-Mobile is offering the 2014 flagship for only $15 a month with an option to swap the device for the fresher model the moment it comes out.
T-Mobile's JUMP! On Demand leasing plan dangles the top-selling iPhone 6 for the basic fee of $15 each month, according to Techno Buffalo. The deal is on until Labor Day but the really tempting element of the package is the guarantee of owning the iPhone 6S at no extra cost once Apple starts shipping out the device.
"Every single customer who gets an iPhone 6 this summer as part of this deal can simply swap it for the next iPhone ... Just swap it out and pay NOTHING more - nothing up front and no change to your monthly payment. No deposit. No fees. Nothing. You get the next iPhone guaranteed," the same Techno Buffalo report quoted T-Mobile CEO John Legere as saying.
It is unclear if the iPhone 6S Plus is covered be the deal. The promotional offer, however, stressed that buyers need to upgrade before the end of 2015 to take advantage of the full benefits of the deal. The deadline for getting the iPhone is on September 7.
Legere also said that JUMP! On Demand plan holders will be prioritized should they opted to upgrade to iPhone 6S during the first 48 hours of the handset's availability. The unit will be delivered to customers for free, the T-Mobile chief said.
As another premium to the deal, the U.S. telco will also include Apple Music to its Music Freedom that will allow iPhone fans to access Apple Music and other streaming services without incurring extra data charges.
With the T-Mobile offer, would-be iPhone 6S upgraders will enjoy the expected bumps from the iPhone 6 - bannered by the A9 processing chip that rumors said will be paired with 2GB of RAM. It is also believed that the 6S main camera will jump from 8MP to 12MP while the screen will be laced with Force Touch technology that gives extra layer of functionalities when the panel is pressed in certain manner or pressure.
Running the show for both the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus is iOS 9 and release date of both devices is expected to happen in late September 2015.
