The Japanese-American entertainment company distributor Viz Media has announced that “Boruto: Naruto the Movie” will hit United States theaters on Oct. 10.
The anime will be screened in 80 U.S. cinemas including Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, San Diego, Dallas, Houston, and Seattle. The movie will features the original Japanese voice work with English subtitles. Japanese manga artist Masahi Kishimoto has already released some previews of the official movie book online, and it will be given away during the screening of the movie in Japan in August, IGN reported.
“Boruto: Naruto the Movie” revolves around the story of Naruto as he was able to achieve his dreams and becomes Hokage of the Hidden Leaf village. The protagonist needs to protect his friends and loved ones again from the enemies, leaving his angry son Boruto that seeks attention from him. Sasuke, Naruto’s childhood best friend, takes care of Boruto and teaches him to defeat his father to gain attention. Meanwhile Sarada, Sasuke's only daughter, wants to become a Hokage someday.
The movie features the screenplay works and character design by executive producer Masashi Kishimoto, while Hiroyuki Yamashita is behind the directorial work with the help Ukyou Kodachi screenplay works as well.
Viz Media teams up with American film production and distribution company Eleven Arts to launch the popular animated film across the 80 cities of the U.S. Interested movie goers and Naruto fans in the U.S. can buy the movie ticket from Eleven Arts, according to Anime News Network.
In addition, “Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm” series has a new entry to be launched later this year.
