Several photos of the rear cases of the LG Nexus 2015 smartphone have surfaced revealing that it may house a 3D camera setup.
There are three cut outs on the left corner of the rear case of the purported handset. The first circular hole is said to be for the camera module whereas the second hole is a cut out for the fingerprint scanner. The square shaped hole next to the camera hole is for the LED flash, 9 to 5 Google reported.
Since the edges of the camera hole are slightly raised, the publication claims that the handset will be featuring a protruding camera. The camera cut out on the rear case is quite big which indicates that it will come with a larger camera sensor. Moreover, rumors are rife that it will be sporting a 3D camera setup along with support for laser autofocus, BGR reported.
Speculations are rife that the 2015 LG Nexus will not be featuring a physical Home button. Hence, the fingerprint scanner is most likely to be placed below the camera on the rear panel. The Android M will arrive with native support for the fingerprint scanner. Users will be able to use it to perform secure transactions by using Android Pay.
By looking at the leaked photos, it can be understood that the right side of the device will be featuring a volume rocker and a lock key. The microUSB or the USB Type-C port will be placed at the bottom side of the device. The top will feature a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Rumors indicate that the 2015 LG Nexus handset will come with a 5.2-inch Quad HD screen. It is not clear whether it will feature a Snapdragon 810 or 808 chipset. Lastly, it will carry a battery of 2,700 mAh capacity.
