"Star Trek" actor Chris Pine was recently confirmed to play the role of Steve Trevor alongside Gal Gadot in the upcoming DC film, "Wonder Woman."
According to The Wrap, Pine's involvement in the film will go way beyond his character's love affair with Wonder Woman. The actor has also reportedly signed on for multiple movies under the franchise that will be released throughout the next ten years.
As of late, details about the upcoming movie have been scare. However, according to Heroic Hollywood, there is a chance that film will take place during the World War II. The publication also noted that Wonder Woman will be 100 years old by the time the film is released so "Wonder Woman" could have multiple settings.
Meanwhile, in the comic books, Steve was portrayed as an intelligence officer whose plane crashed in the Amazon during one of his missions at the time of the World War II. After recovering from the injuries he incurred in the accident, he traveled to the United States with Diana Prince/Wonder Woman. He later on became a firefighter.
In other news, the filming for "Wonder Woman" will reportedly commence in the fall. As of late, film director Patty Jenkins and her team are already prepping up for the movie. They will also be filming "Justice League" in the spring of 2016.
"Wonder Woman" will be executive produced by Geoff Johns and Stephen Jones. The film will be produced by Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Snyder and Richard Suckle. It will be released in the United States sometime in 2017.
