"Zombi" will be the launch title for Wii U "ZombiU", Ubisoft announced, making it available for PlayStation 4, PC, as well as Xbox One. This first-person survival horror game is scheduled for release on Aug. 18 and can be availed through digital download.
Ubisoft is planning to recreate Wii U's functionality in gamepad on other platforms, as well. They added that what it did on Nintendo's console couldn't be replicated on "Zombi" PS4, PC, or Xbox One.
Using Wii U, the players need to glance down at the second screen in order to manage their inventory. Because of this, Ubisoft has included a dedicated button that will enable players to look through the backpack without having to pause the game.
Since it will not be solely available on Wii U, "ZombiU" PC version, which will later have "Zombi" Xbox One, and "Zombi" PlayStation 4 versions, will simply be called "Zombi."
The gameplay core will remain exactly the same, but gamers will be happy to know that the graphics have been upgraded, taking advantage of the modern hardware. This will bring gamers to a new level of horror that they will surely enjoy, the PC Gamer shared.
To improve gaming experience, they have expanded the field of view, improved melee weapons, and provided a shovel and nail bat. Gamers will notice the missing Wii U's second screen. This was what "ZombiU" was specifically designed for.
As a result the inventory system will change as well as the "single-system multiplayer," which enables the second player to use the Wii U gamepad to place zombies in the path of survivors, GamingTrend reported.
"Zombi" will be exclusively distributed digitally on Aug.18. The first trailer recounts the positive reception of the game on Nintendo's platform.
