Just like the Chromebook, the Aspire One Cloudbook devices will utilize cloud-based software from Microsoft instead of Google. The two laptop models will be released with a free Office 365 Personal subscription which is good for one year as well as 100GB or 1TB of cloud storage via the Microsoft OneDrive.

According to ZDNet, the 11-inch model comes in with 2GB of memory and 16GB of storage space which can be expanded via the integrated SD card slot. For storage conscious users, there is a 32GB optional upgrade for $20 more and will include the Microsoft Office 350 one-year subscription.

On the other hand, the 14-inch model that will sell for $199 has 32GB of storage space and also comes with the online version of Microsoft Office without additional charge. The 14-inch model will get 1TB storage on OneDrive while the 11-inch model will only get 100GB.

Regardless of its screen size and storage capacity, all models will use a dual-core Intel Celeron N3050 processor and a built-in Wi-Fi adapter. All variants will also have a resolution of 1366 x 768 regardless of screen size.

The 11-inch model of the Acer Aspire One Cloudbook will be available via Microsoft online store within this month. The 14-inch model will be available for purchase starting October.
