Ezvid. Inc, a U.S.-based new media software company, has provided information about the top five most popular drones in China based on drone sales at Amazon.com, the China Daily reported.
First in the list is the UDI U818A, which is priced at 258 yuan ($41). The drone has a built-in camera that can take pictures and videos, but the remote control's battery lasts between six and eight minutes only.
According to the report, the UDI U818A model's main problem is that it is very light and only operates well outdoors under good conditions.
Next in the list is DJI Phantom 2 Vision Quadcopter, which costs 2,999 yuan, and built for professionals. It has a crystal-clear, high-definition quality camera, which can take spectacular still photos and videos. It has a heavy-duty and rechargeable battery that can keep the drone in the air for up to 25 minutes.
Hubsan H107D FPV X4 Mini RTF is third in the list, which is worth 958 yuan. The palm-sized drone Mini RTF has a remote control with an 88.9-millimeter (3.4 inches) screen that shows a view of what one is filming in real time. The drone is not for professionals and the picture quality needs improvement. Its battery lasts just seven minutes.
Parrot AR Drone 2.0 Quadricopter is touted to be the ideal "starter model" which can take high-definition videos. The AR Drone can be connected and controlled from a smartphone or tablet. It is worth 2,199 yuan and its battery lasts for about 36 minutes.
The Parrot Mini Drone Rolling Spider has a big, plastic wheel-like stabilizers that allow it to bounce off walls and ceilings, which is ideal for indoor use. Worth 699 yuan, the Rolling Spider can be connected to a smartphone, but it has a problem with signal strength and its battery life extends to just eight minutes.
