Konami, "Metal Gear Solid" maker, detailed the graphical differences between its last generation and current "Metal Gear Solid V" game versions. While the older hardware could not hold up to the Xbox One and PS4 powers, the last generation versions have come to compete with the most recent platform performances.
"Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" will not only come for the new generation consoles. While most publishers have decided to move on from PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Konami is still designing "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" for the last generation consoles.
PlayStation 3 vs PlayStation 4
The difference in the depth of "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" playing field is most notable. When zoomed in, the snake is blurred in the PS4 version and the next generation version's anti-aliasing is a PS3 step up. Also, PS4's version presents more details with noticeably cleaner foliage, Kotaku shared.
The resolution between the two platforms is also noticeable with "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain." Newer hardware is capable of running the game at 1080p, while older machines' scale is to just 720p. The PS4 version features a crisper, more detailed image, while PS3 is still blurry.
Xbox 360 vs. Xbox One
The overall picture detail anti-aliasing, and depth of "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" playing field are relatively similar on both Microsoft machines, though the next generation hardware is the better choice when it comes to graphical picture.
While slight "Metal Gear Solid V" graphical differences between PC and PS4 are present, the resolution has created a different impact above all other qualities. While it is great to have 1080p, 4K is the best and it is what the PC version is offering, Konami reported.
"Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" is set for release on Sept. 1.
