In September, Sony has recently confirmed that there will be a price hike for subscription service for its one-month and three-month subscription options in UK.
The price increase will take effect starting Sept. 1, and will change the two subscription options by around £11.99 to £14.99, Push Square reported. The changes are not yet definite in terms of prices and set-up, as it will differ depending on the market. Sony stated that the increase in price is caused by the service's adaption with the market conditions.
One thing that Sony promised is that it will keep making the PS Plus service into an investment for its subscribers. This price change is also geared towards assuring that the service can offer quality experience in terms of games and features.
There is no announcements yet whether North America or Asia to follow suit.
Also, just recently, Sony announced a new incentive for players to enjoy the PlayStation Plus service. This new promo allows players to take control in terms of the games that they would want to see as part of the PS Plus offers. Dubbed as the new "Vote to Play" promo, the company announced that this new mechanic will allow players to vote for the title that they want and the game with the most number of votes will be offered as a free title, PlayStation Blog reported.
PlayStation did not announce all the details yet. But it appears that the first month of the promo will have an additional bonus in itself. The first rollout of the promotion will still get discounts on the runner-up games. PlayStation has yet to announce the titles that will be released for voting and the procedure for voting.
