Windows 10 is finally available in the market. Some users were reportedly happy and satisfied on how it lets the users manage their windows.
For those who are still hesitant to download this Microsoft's latest update, here are the reasons why falling in love with the new Windows 10 is easy.
Customizable Start menu
Windows 10 is similar to Windows 7 or some say a combination of both Windows 7 and Windows 8. Start button was returned and opens up the Start menu instead of the touch based Start screen. It is also customizable depending on the desired look. Changing size is easy just click and drag each tile to change its size.
Removing and adding files, folders, tile and programs is very easy just by right-clicking the icon and select "Pin to Start." Once added to Start menu, drag and hold the icon in placing it to any folder categories of choice. For users who do not like tiles, it can easily be removed just by right-clicking them.
Updates Management
The Windows 10 development gone through a lot of controversy. Microsoft made it work like a website, when upgraded, all is being updated automatically. However, updates can still be controlled by going to settings, update and security and select windows update tab.
Good news for Windows long time users as the control panel is still available for the new Windows 10. No need to go to settings, just right click the start button and select control panel.
Smart Search Windows
Browsing and searching folders, files and programs is still the same but it was made even smarter with Windows 10. It is now powered by Cortana (Microsoft's answer to Google's Siri and Google now). Cortana pops up the first time you search, it can either use as typed search or even voice search.
Cortana is very smart since it learns the user's habits and preferences. It easily predicts what the user will search and provide solutions immediately. It also offers traffic or weather updates. Some users though find it creepy. To turn off Cortana just click "not interested" or change its settings.
Explorer Window
Windows Explorer is still available but with different look this time. There is a toolbar across the top of every Explorer window and it looks like a ribbon at the top of Microsoft Office. Windows Explorer is also heavily integrated with Microsoft Live and OneDrive (similar to Google Drive).
Windows 10 automatically allows the user to have a Microsoft Live account and a 5GB of free storage on OneDrive. Files and folders can also be easily drag between OneDrive and the hard drive.
Task View and Virtual Desktops
Users can still multi task quickly by using the ALT+TAB or click Task View button (three little button on the right search icon). Another awesome feature of Windows 10 is the ability to create unlimited new desktops. Just click the little "plus" sign in the bottom corner and click "new desktop," Fox News reported.
According to KimKomando, users have been exploring the Windows 10 interface and features. GodMode is one of the coolest features that Microsoft has not released yet to the public. It combines all Microsoft functions in just one menu to easily access and customize specific needs.
Microsoft Corporation is a multinational technology company similar to Google. It is known for software products such as Windows 10.
