Week 2 action of the new Premier League season continues with a matchup between Sunderland AFC and Norwich City FC on Saturday, August 15 at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear.
The two teams are coming off losses in their season openers and are both eager to strike their first win of 2015-2016.
The Black Cats was drubbed by Leicester City FC in their opening day match last Saturday, 2-4, at the King Power Stadium. With five new acquisitions during the offseason, Dick Advocaat's men seemed to be still in the process of adjusting with one another's plays, as reported by Chronicle Live.
Forwards Jermain Defoe and Steven Fletcher scored for the Cats, who were overwhelmed by the offensive barrage of the Foxes, led by a double from midfielder Riyad Mahrez.
Meanwhile, Norwich was also subdued by Crystal Palace FC, 1-3, in their own opener also on Saturday. The match was held at their home field of Carrow Road, but still Alex Neil's squad could not stop the attacks of the Eagles.
Midfielder Nathan Redmond put the Canaries on the board to avoid an embarrassing blanking, as per BBC Sport.
The prediction is a tough 1-0 win by Sunderland over Norwich. Advocaat's new guys simply need more time to jell and against a lowly team like the Yellows, they may be able to pull off a victory.
