A high-profile 2015 Major League Soccer regular season encounter between two Western Conference powerhouse teams FC Dallas (11-6-5, 38 points) and LA Galaxy (11-7-7, 40 points) is set at the Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas on Saturday.
Dallas' five-game winning run was put to a halt as an upset-seeking Chicago Fire eleven handed coach Óscar Pareja's men a 0-2 loss on August 2, via the MLS official website. Still, the Toros remain at third place in the West and should not be in danger of losing their playoff spot as long as they can get back on track as soon as possible.
Los Galácticos are in second place in the West and just two points ahead of Dallas. Their last win featured their newest acquisition, Mexican stalwart Giovani dos Santos, who had a goal and assist in their 3-1 home dismantling of a free-falling Seattle Sounders unit, as per ESPN.
The jam-packed StubHub Center gave the 26-year-old attacking midfielder a standing ovation upon his exit at the 69th-minute of the match when the Galaxy was already comfortably ahead.
The prediction is an exciting 3-2 road win for Los Angeles over Dallas. It will be a showcase in offense as the Toros would like to bounce back from their goalless effort in their previous loss. However, Bruce Arena's men are on a roll, winning their last three games all in high-scoring fashion, including a 5-1 victory over Central FC in the CONCACAF Champions League.
