Mass production of the 2015 iPhone flagships is already underway, reports said, and Apple fans can expect the unboxing of three new handset models - the 4.7-inch iPhone 6S, the 5.5-inch iPhone 6S Plus and the new addition iPhone 6C with the old 4-inch screen standard.
The massive flood of hints, leaks and projections from analysts have somewhat painted a clear picture of what the next iPhones would be - the build, look, specs and features. Ming-chi Kuo of KGI Securities has been saying that as expected the 6S and 6S Plus will mostly look and behave like their immediate predecessors.
The outer shell will be the same as the 2015 versions represent an increment jump from 2014 though there will be key bumps inside of the devices, Kuo said. It should be noted that the KGI analyst is reputed for his mostly accurate predictions on everything about Apple, the iPad and the iPhones.
Under the hood, the next iPhone will have an A9 processing chip as main engine and Apple will likely opt for a RAM step up - from 1GB last year to 2GB. From iOS 8 the mobile operating system will become iOS 9 and as always the case there will be a bevy of killer features.
But the central new iPhone offering is the Force Touch screen sensor that Kuo said will add a new dimension to the whole iOS smartphone experience. How exactly, the details remain elusive.
In short, however, the iPhone package of 2015 is vastly different from last year and the most exciting part is everything in it will also be stuffed on the third build - the 4-inch iPhone 6C. The 6C, as indicated in recent reports, is not a budget device. It is essentially the iPhone 6S only with scaled down footprint but not on features.
That means the smallest of the iPhones pack the same punch found on its bigger siblings. Rumors say this kit will not be around until early 2016 but in his latest tweet Evan Blass or @evleaks claimed that the Apple plan is to unpack all three iPhone models at the same time.
Now, the @evleaks claim is supported by a new report from G4Games that the iPhone 6C is indeed part of the ongoing large-scale production for the 2015 iPhones being handled by Foxconn. Foxconn is Apple's perennial and biggest manufacturing partner in Asia.
So the new report is saying that apart from the iPhone 5S, Apple fans who prefer the 4-inch form factor can expect a refresh as the iPhone 6C is part of the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus release date, which likely will happen weeks after the scheduled Apple event on September 9.
