It is rumored that the upcoming iPad Mini 4 will be more powerful, better designed and boast of a number of changes as well.
When the iPad Mini 3 was released last year then the users were both shocked and surprised. The customers were surprised because it was not officially scheduled to release then, and shocked because it was hardly an upgrade from the existing iPad Mini 2 device.
Only the color options of iPad Mini 3 were changed alongwith the inclusion of the finger print scanner. However, these changes left the customers asking for much more.
Apple does not want to repeat its mistakes this year. Hence, iPad Mini 4 is all set to get the makeover, which it truly deserves. The recently leaked 3D CAD images of iPad Mini 4 show that the device will be as thin as iPad Air 2. It is further indicated that it will be just 6.13 mm thick, to be exact.
There are also rumors that Apple may opt for a fully-laminated display in order to reduce the thickness of the device. It is also expected to be slightly longer in length and it is rumored that the mute switch may be done away with.
It was also rumored earlier that iPad Mini 4 will be a smaller version of the iPad Air 2. The rumor further stated that the device will get a hardware upgrade as well, making it even more similar to the design of iPad Air 2, according to BGR.
According to Mac Rumors, Apple is most likely to launch the next generation iPhone 6S on Sept. 9. It is expected that the iPad Mini 4 will also be launched during the same event. On the other hand, iPad Air 3 may also be unveiled during this event alongwith Apple TV, 4K iMac, iOS 9 and iPhone 6S Plus.
