Actress Maisie Williams has confirmed that she is indeed blind in "Game of Thrones" Season 6 via an Instagram post. There are also reports that Jon Snow may finally be dead.
The filming for the show is on in Belfast and smoke was seen coming out of the Castle Black set. This led to speculations that Snow has succumbed to his injuries and his funeral is being shot there.
The dead need to be cremated as soon as possible so that they do not turn into "White Walkers."
According to William's Instagram post, she has taken a selfie in which she is lying on the bed with cooling pads underneath her eyes. The image is captioned, "Aftermath of blind contacts."
This picture confirms that Williams, who essays the role of Arya Stark in "Game of Thrones" will indeed be blind in the upcoming season. In "Game of Thrones" Season 5 finale, she was blinded as a punishment by Jaqen H'ghar. She had gone against his wishes and extracted revenge on Ser Meryn Trant for murdering her sword teacher Syrio.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Williams is not happy with the blind contacts as they are physically painful for her. She reportedly said that, "I don't want to wear these crazy contacts for the rest of my time on Thrones." She added, "I don't know how that will impede [Arya's] life. She's going to become very vulnerable thanks to that. It's exciting and scary so I'm worried about next year."
"Game of Thrones" Season 6 air-date is expected to be in April, 2016.
