To celebrate 50 years of the "Star Trek" franchise, major characters from the 1960s hit sci-fi series, led by actor William Shatner, will join a six-day theme cruise. They will be aboard a Norwegian Cruise Line vessel, the Norwegian Pearl, which leaves Miami on January 9, 2017.
The vessel has stops in Cozumel, Mexico, and the Bahamas. Fans of the TV show will enjoy a "totally immersive" Star Trek experience, reports the Toronto Sun. It would feature lectures, parties and competitions with the actors.
The Enterprise Blue Band, which stars actor Vaughn Armstrong and Casey Biggs, will have a concert aboard the cruise liner.
Shatner, who played Captain James Kirk in "Star Trek," would be the cruise host. Other actors confirmed to be part of the cruise include Jonathan Frakes who played Captain William Riker, Denise Crosby as Lieutenant Tasha Ray, Roberto Picardo as Dr. Lewis Zimmerman, James Darren as Vic Fonaine, Marina Sirtis as Deanna Troi and John de Lancie as Q.
In a statement, Shatner said, "When I was told that this was the first authorized 'Starnorwegian Trek' cruise and part of the 50th anniversary celebration, I just knew that my participation would be something that out fans would enjoy. It would be a lot of fun," quotes Entertainment Weekly.
Tickets costs range from $975 for the lowest-price stateroom to $7,500 for the Haven Garden Villa Suite.
There were five "Star Trek" TV series that ran for 30 seasons or 726 episodes, reports Kotaku.
