Tech company Nuance is planning to release a voice dictation app for the iOS and Android platform. The app called Dragon Anywhere is aimed towards professionals and users that need responsive and accurate transcription in their mobile devices.
"For years, professionals across industries have relied on Dragon on their PCs and Macs for completing the documentation and paperwork requirements that are critical to their businesses, and we are excited to extend that experience to mobile devices with Dragon Anywhere," Dragon Anywhere general manager Peter Mahoney told PC Mag.
Nuance said that its new mobile app is aimed toward professionals that perform their job away from their desk or a computer like lawyers, field workers and public safety officers. The app was also designed to create and edit reports and documents as well as take notes while on the go.
With Dragon Anywhere, dictations are being captured on a real-time basis. Transcribing dictations is also fast, given that the user has a fast Internet connection. The app is also cloud based which means that documents and transcriptions can be accessed through a desktop computer fairly easily.
Files can also be transferred easily to popular cloud based tools like Evernote and Dropbox
According to The Next Web, Nuance said that its new app is programmed for continual learning of its user's voice in order to improve the apps accuracy and familiarity with jargons commonly used by its user.
Dragon Anywhere is offered at subscription basis. The app will be released in Apple App Store and Google Play Store sometime in fall.
