Practice partners Miami Dolphins and Carolina Panthers are set to face each other in a much-anticipated preseason game on Saturday, August 22 at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina as the NFL Preseason Week 2 continues.
The Dolphins are coming off a huge loss to the Chicago Bears in their preseason opener, 27-10, at the Soldier Field in Chicago on Thursday last week.
Miami's reserve defensive linebackers Chris McCain and Jordan Tripp both suffered sprained ankles in the game, although it may not be that serious.
Despite the loss, quarterback Ryan Tannehill and running back Lamar Miller were both looking sharp in limited minutes, as per SB Nation.
Meanwhile, the Panthers scored eight points in the fourth quarter of their first preseason game to pull off a comeback win against the Buffalo Bills on the road, 25-24, with third-string signal caller Joe Webb leading the way, via ESPN.
Former New York Jets linebacker Ikemefuna Enemkpali debuted for the Bills after he was waived by the Jets three days ago for punching and breaking the jaw of former teammate Geno Smith in a locker altercation.
The starters of both teams are equal in strength, but when it comes to the second and third-stringers, Carolina has the upper hand.
Prediction: Panthers win
