Analyst Ming Chi-Kuo from KGI Securities stated that Apple’s 12.9-inch iPad Pro will sport Force Touch stylus support that resembles an improved Pencil from Paper’s FiftyThree.
The analyst described the new device from iPad series as an evolutionary change on Apple Inc. He added that users can purchase the Bluetooth stylus alongside the new 12.9-inch iPad Pro, but they can buy it separately, expecting that the Cupertino-based tech giant will ship around a million styluses. The Force Touch stylus support can follow through the pressure where user touches the screen. It is also present on the Apple Watch screen and Trackpad of the MacBook.
The Force Touch-enabled stylus will improve the mobile’s productivity because of the exact operation compared when using fingers. The company believes that stylus can match the iPad models other than the 12.9-inch version, but it will depend on the software compatibility. Force Touch stylus support is a bolder move from Apple since the late Steve Jobs opt to make the device simpler without any help from digital pointers.
However, it is not quite clear if 12.9-inch iPad Pro will have the iOS 9.1, according to Mac Rumors. It is interesting to note that this iPad has other feature that needs regular update including a USB-C port that could support peripheral devices. Until now, there is now news yet about the price of the Bluetooth stylus.
Ming Chi-Kuo also suggested that Apple Inc. will start the mass production of 12.9-inch iPad Pro on either September or October this year, with a possibility of launching the device on November, Apple Insider reported. On the other hand, the shipping might start right after the production in time for holiday season.
