Calista Flockhart of "Ally McBeal" fame and "Pan" star Levi Miller are giving major support to the new TV series offering of CBS, "Supergirl." Their addition to the cast has ignited extra attention for the upcoming television incarnation of the DC Comics heroine.
Flockhart is known to many avid television viewers not just for carrying the legal drama-comedy series "Ally McBeal" but also for playing a key role in the television drama "Brothers and Sisters."
Miller, 12, is an Australian actor whose star continues to shine after being cast as the young Peter Pan in the Warner Bros. flick. He plays Carter Grant, the son of the founder of CatCo, played with relish by Flockhart. Miller's television character develops a crush on Supergirl, but is unaware that his babysitter Kara Danvers is the same person.
The "Pan" star has been described as an "exceptional young actor" who is touted as the next young Hollywood sensation after audiences see him play the role of Peter Pan in October and then join the "Supergirl" universe, TVLine reported.
CBS has been whetting the appetite of televiewers for "Supergirl" and has succeeded in doing so with the recent cast additions. In his Instagram account, Miller wrote that he is quite excited about his guest appearance as Cat Grant's son. Televiewers will not see Miller, though, until the fourth episode, CBS reported.
Nonetheless, the stellar presence in the TV drama series of Flockhart as the powerful media magnate, not to mention "Glee" actress Melissa Benoist's dual portrayal of the assistant and the superheroine, are expected to keep viewers engrossed. As an excited fan tweeted, she can hardly wait to witness "girl power all the way!"
"Supergirl" premieres on a primetime slot on CBS on Oct. 26.
