Zayn Malik is ready to start dating after breaking up with ex-fiancé Perrie Edwards last July. The former One Direction star has started following Selena Gomez and Nina Dobrev on Twitter, which started off rumors that he is interested in the two ladies.
According to Mirror, Malik has started following Dobrev, a few days after he followed Gomez on social media. He reportedly followed the actress after her emotional speech at the 2015 Teen Choice Awards. "The Vampire Diaries" alum, however, has yet to follow him back.
The publication noted that several fans have already started speculating that Malik and Dobrev would start dating soon. Fans of the singer tweeted that they fully support the "new couple," adding that they looked good together.
Meanwhile, Justin Bieber's ex-girlfriend revealed that she did not have an idea that Malik started following her on Twitter. Speaking to BBC Radio 1, the "Good For You" singer shared that she only found out when someone asked her how she felt about Malik's gesture.
Although many fans perceived Malik's move as a first step to flirting with Gomez, the Disney alum said that she did not see anything weird about it. Gomez added that it was not such a big deal as they both know each other. She also thanked Malik for following her.
When asked if she will follow the One Direction star on Twitter, Gomez answered with a resounding "Yes." She admitted that she may have not followed him immediately but vowed to do it as soon as possible.
