Windows 10 updates are being distributed with less information on what is being installed, causing some netizens to question Microsoft's motives on its new operating system.
Microsoft has been supplying users of Windows 10 with updates on the system for the device's security and functionality since its release on July 29. The updates, however, show little or no details about the patch's effects on the computer.
The cumulative updates from Microsoft do not post or reveal any specific fixes it does to the computer, with August 11 and August 13's patch describing that it will provide fixes that enrich the Windows 10 experience without any specifics if there are any fixes for the present bugs, PCMag reported.
In an interview with the Register, Microsoft assured that the Windows Service has high security measures, and that the updates are there to ensure that the consumers have a good experience with the newest release.
The publication also stated that these patches may be Microsoft's way of fixing the flaws in their newly released operating system.
However, communications company Cisco has warned users about the potential backfires that these secretive updates may have, stating that nothing can be truly secure and that hackers can now get inside through the manufacturer's application.
Microsoft also states that they will continue updating posts in their KB forums, giving customers up-to-date and significant information and troubleshooting for the patches.
For most users, the absence of transparency in the newest updates may not be that impactful, though some tech enthusiasts question if Microsoft's intentions for the new OS is ethical or not.
Even with all the suspicion, Microsoft will still launch and deploy security and functional updates for their new system, which meanwhile, has been criticized as buggy and disordered.
