For those who have been following this closely, the much anticipated Google Nexus 5, which will come natively with the recently named Android 6.0 Marshmallow, will come in two flavors -- a 5.2" LG Nexus and a 6" Nexus from manufacturer Huawei.

This we do know: the Nexus 5 will come with a 5MP built-in camera, which is the baseline for smartphone cameras these days, but more importantly, the LG version of the Nexus 5 will come packed with a f/2.0 sensor which will provide better performance in low-light situations.

The much larger Huawei version of the Nexus 5, which is a whopping 6-inch phablet, will of course boast a higher price tag.

Aside from this, we can all expect other components of the two smartphones to vary but what they will have in common is a fingerprint sensor and a USB Type-C connector. The phones will also come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC accompanied by 64GB of storage space.

Not to mention, both the LG Google Nexus 5 and the Huawei Google Nexus 5 will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Other specs like the RAM and battery size however are still up in the air, although fans of the device have their own guesses.

Earlier today, Chinese website iNexus.co supposedly leaked images of the Huawei version of the smartphone, and instantly, it got readers speculating.

The LG flavor had already leaked some time late May, but today's leak is the first time readers have gotten a look at the Huawei version, if indeed the leaks are authentic -- there is of course reason to be skeptical.

First of all, there's a large circular slot near the top of the chassis, supposedly for a camera module, but why the weird design? It appears ugly to say the least, how the back of the phone protrudes.

We could all easily chuck this leak up to the land of fakes but it is interesting to note that this leak shows a fingerprint reader on the rear, which is similar to the LG Google Nexus 5 model.

And if this were fake, whoever did this went through all the trouble of even making a silicone case for the 'fake phone'. Highly unlikely.

My guess is, these leaks are authentic, but I could be wrong of course. They could also possibly be early prototypes, or even prop models. If it didn't say Nexus on the back, I would have never known.

Other elements of the photo show a dual LED flash and stereo speakers on the phone's face.

Obviously, things change rather abruptly and drastically at that, during a smartphone's development life cycle. Whether or not this is the actual Huawei Nexus is one thing, it could turn out completely different in a couple of month's time when Google decides to reveal these phones to the public along with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
