"The Originals" Season 3 will be exploring on the relationship between Original hybrid Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) and Cami (Leah Pipes). Executive producer Michael Narducci teased that the two characters will spend more time together in the beginning of the new season.
Narducci revealed to TVGuide that Klaus and Cami will have a professional relationship in the early episodes of "The Originals" Season 3. Narducci explained that Klaus' awful and diabolical actions towards his siblings in "The Originals" Season 2 will make the Original hybrid work through his family issues with Cami's help as a therapist.
In the previous season, Klaus' relationship with his siblings Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Rebekah (Claire Holt/Maisie Richardson-Sellers) was strained because of the plan that Klaus carried out to defeat Aunt Dahlia (Claudia Black) in order to protect his baby daughter Hope. Cami will be the person that Klaus shares his feelings about the latest conflict with his siblings in "The Originals" Season 3.
Narducci shared that Cami wants to help Klaus control his temper and steer clear of killing innocent people. "And where that relationship goes from there I think is very interesting," Narducci teased.
Meanwhile, Klaus will not only find himself in conflict with Elijah, Rebekah, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) in the brand new season but also with the people that he turned into vampires during the early years of his transformation. "This is definitely the season about the sire lines," Narducci told The Hollywood Reporter (THR).
These sired vampires will be the new season's big bad villains that the Original family must deal with. Narducci also teased that "The Originals" Season 3 will show what kind of life the Mikaelson siblings had after their mother Esther (Alice Evans) turned them into vampires.
With the return of the sired vampires in Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah's lives, Narducci revealed that there will be a lot of vampire-on-vampire violence and intrigue in the upcoming new season. "Some of these people will be enemies; some of these people will be allies. And there might be some potential love interests as well," Narducci added in the THR report.
"The Originals" Season 3 will premiere on Thursday night, Oct. 8, at 9/8c on the CW Network.
