New characters will start to roam the streets of New Orleans in "The Originals" season 3. The casting reports teased about the addition of new witch and vampire characters in the upcoming new season of the CW TV series.
Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies), Rebekah (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) and Freya (Riley Voelkel) will be dealing with the new characters in town. According to an exclusive Entertainment Weekly report, "The Walking Dead" actor Lawrence Kao and "Pirate Islands" actor Oliver Ackland will join "The Originals" cast as the new supernatural characters heading to New Orleans.
Lawrence Kao will portray a handsome, stubborn witch named Van while Oliver Ackland got cast as the handsome and mysterious vampire named Tristan. Both Kao and Ackland will be introduced in the second episode of "The Originals" Season 3.
EW's casting report further shared details on the two new characters. Van has always distanced himself from the coven politics but a tragedy will change things because he will be inevitably drawn into the early stages of an upcoming war.
As for Tristan, the vampire has a long and complicated history with the Mikaelson family. Tristan can be warm, caring, obsessive and co-dependent to the people that he cares about but he is cruel and totally ruthless when it comes to his enemies.
"Pretty Little Liars" actress Rebecca Breeds also joins "The Originals" Season 3 as the beautiful, sexy, and clever vampire named Aurora. Breeds will be making her debut appearance in the premiere episode of the brand new season.
"The Originals" executive producer Michael Narducci teased in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that the upcoming new season will focus on the sirelines. The fans will meet some of the people that Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah turned into vampires during the early stages of their transformation.
According to a Hypable report, the CW TV series added "H2O: Just Add Water" actor Andrew Lees as vampire Lucien, a smart and charming sire of the Original vampire-werewolf hybrid Klaus Mikaelson. The new witch and vampire characters could be an ally or an enemy but Lucien and the other sired vampires will most likely be the big threat to the Original family.
"The Originals" Season 3 will premiere on Thursday night, Oct. 8, at 9/8c on the CW Network.
